@westcoastgf is a small home-kitchen business bui @westcoastgf is a small home-kitchen business built on a very big heart. Christena is the baker-in-charge, and she imbues every baked treat with love!

All of her items are 100% gluten-free and celiac-friendly! She carries everything from focaccia, danishes, to rotating seasonal treats with real fruit. The thing that makes West Coast Gluten Free shine is her Cookies for a Cause initiative, where 100% of her proceeds from the sale of chocolate chip cookies goes directly to a different cause every month!

This month, she is supporting the Cat Therapy & Rescue Society, a local non-profit foster-based cat rescue that helps cats from all over BC find loving homes in the lower mainland!

Stop by the New West Farmers Market this Thursday, September 10th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in Tipperary Park to say hello to Christena, and try some of her too good to be true baked goodies!

Indigenous Peoples have used the Medicine Wheel as a life guide since time immemorial. This September 24th at the New West Farmers Market, ahead of Truth and Reconcilliation Day, Lorelei, an Indigenous educator with @2metiswomen and knowledge carrier for the North Fraser Métis Association will guide participants through the creation of their own Medicine Wheel to take home, while learning some traditional Indigenous teachings through the core concepts of this important life guide.

The wheel is often used as a tool for learning, contemplating, and understanding one's personal journey towards holistic wellbeing and balancing the Physical, Mental, Social, Spiritual self. Lorelei will lead you examining each quadrant, where the strengths are and where some goal setting could be implemented.
